Just a little Rock & Roll that I like- U2

I attended another Tea Party here in Walnut Creek, California. I like hanging out with those

"Members of the MOB"! They're my kind of people.

The news media loves to put their own spin on things and likes to label people. I really don't consider myself conservative, republican, raciest, etc. I consider myself just an

American Patriot with morals and know the difference between right and wrong.

I don't want or need government in my everyday decision making.

I was thinking as I was driving home; WHY do I really care what government is doing?

It's really not going to affect 'me' financially much. I have no home, no mortgage, pretty much lost all my 401K plan, no business, I have a clunker, (but no cash for it). I have good health care at the moment. So what am I fighting for?? I'm fighting for my children and my grandchildren. I'm fighting for what my relatives and family have stood up and fought for our freedom for over 200 years. I want my grandchildren to grow up and have the same Freedoms that I had. I want them to have and make their own choices without constant government interference. I want them to know that I cared.
I WANT LESS GOVERNMENT.
LESS...
I WANT THE RIGHT TO MAKE MY OWN CHOICES WITHOUT CONSULTING THE GOVERNMENT.

I'm fighting for What is Right, and honest, and fair. I'm fighting for America to Remember that we are land of the FREE,
One Nation, Under God. Remember GOD? In God we Trust. (not government and politicians.)
I have more to say, but I need to go take care of 'things'.

HAVE A HAPPY DAY!!

The issue is NOT Republican or democrat

I LIKE TREES. sequoia, buckeyes, weeping willows, orange, cherry, and others.
what d0 you like???

Just thinking again....

Are you a little busy? Do you have a lot to do?

Get to work. Worry that you won't be Able to GO to work, pick up the kids, pay the bills, put food on the table, help take care of family members, go to school, go here, go there, the list goes on and on.

Do you hear what's going on in congress?

I think a lot of us do catch a little bit of news here and there, but do we, take the time to do something

about what's going on? Sometimes it's very hard to fit one more action on our 'thing to do' list.

We WANT to. But, sometimes we rely on someone else to make a good decision, so we elect people to do that for us. But in today's world who can we trust?

It's hard to sort through it all.

I think the easiest or quickest thing we can do, that doesn't take to much of our time is when you hear something on the news that sounds like "Bullshit", (sorry, but that's how I feel sometimes.)

Write a quick, short note to your congressman, via e-mail, from your computer.

Leave a comment to let them know YOU ARE paying attention, and this is what you want

them to do for you. (YOU, the one that gave them the job, remember?)

Just a suggestion.

And, Yes- something STINKS in Washington!

Singer/songwriter Rob Thomas

Robert Kelly Thomas (born February 14, 1972, in Landstuhl, West Germany on a US military base) is an American rock recording artist and songwriter. He is the primary songwriter and lead singer of the band Matchbox Twenty and formerly of the band Tabitha's Secret. Thomas also records and performs as a solo artist. Thomas earned three Grammy awards for co-writing and singing on the Carlos Santana triple-platinum hit "Smooth", the work he is best known for, on the album Supernatural in 1999.

He has also lent his songwriting talents to such artists as Willie Nelson, Mick Jagger, Marc Anthony, Pat Green, Taylor Hicks, Travis Tritt and Daughtry.

Since 1996, his band has released a string of hit singles to radio including "Push", "3 A.M.", "Real World", "Back 2 Good", "Bent", "If You're Gone", "Mad Season", "Disease", "Unwell", "Bright Lights", and "How Far We've Come". In 2004, the Songwriters Hall of Fame awarded Thomas its first Starlight Award, recognizing young songwriters who have already had a lasting influence in the music industry

ROB THOMAS lead singer/songwriter is one of my favorite artist.
I first started listening to his songs when he was with MATCHBOX 20.
I just really like how he writes. It's like a poet. His songs mean different things to different people. I just really enjoy his music and lyrics.

Health Care in America? (be careful what you ask for)

If I have to walk through the new x-ray security machines
at some airports, here's a few things they will find.
I have 2 steel plates and 12 screws in my arm. (gymnastics) A small screw in my tibia for a anterior cruciate ligament repair. (snow skiing) And now, a titanium
plate and 4 screws in my cervical vertebra. (a combination of injuries, or incidents)
Modern medicine never ceases to amaze me. I've been very fortunate to have excellent surgeons and doctors.
HEALTH CARE IN AMERICA.......? Everyone needs to pay very close attention to some of the changes that congress is trying to change. There's always room for improvement and make some changes, but be careful what you ask for.
I am one of the poor, and unemployed. I also worked as a professional Registered Nurse for 18 years. Socialized medicine, run by the government is not the answer. Politicians and government have no business making medical decisions, for me or you!!
I'm recovering well and feeling good. Thanks to my well trained and educated,
Doctors. (Not government!)

A quick "fly by"..... (my house)

a

A Quick trip into Salt Lake City. Had dinner with Katie at Old Spaghetti Factory. It was good. I've been craving pasta. I had cheese and spinach ravioli, and spaghetti in a mushroom sauce.

I have a follow-up appointment and MRI tomorrow. I anticipate good news and hope I can start physical therapy and exercise soon. I think I'm recovering well.
I feel good. Just kinda sore and achey at the end of day.
Thank goodness for airplanes. I'll be back in California in 2 hours.

My faithful Companions

I really missed Sugar a lot. I usually always have her traveling with me.
Well, she was long overdue for a shampoo, hair, and nail appointment.
So when I got home, off to the "spa" for a day of pampering. (hee-hee.)
She came home smelling and looking great.
(the bows lasted about 30 minutes.)
I have really easy going, good pets.
They give such unconditional love and companionship.

A little update on my pets.
Mr. Jinxy was very, very sick. I thought we were going to have to put him to sleep. Greg and I chose to try to save him. I am happy to report, that he got very good care. I was leaving to AZ 2 days to be with Curt & Jen for the birth of my new grand-daughter. Greg was working a lot of hours. He does not deal with medical things very well. But, he was willing to learn, and give Jinxy the urgent care that he needed. He had to give Jinxy, IV fluids every morning before he left for work. This involved poking Jinxy with a needle (Greg doesn't do needles well.)and holding him for 5- 10 minutes while it infused. He also had to give him oral medicines 3 a day. Not as easy as it sounds. He also has to be on special food. No more 'Deli' junk food. Well, his roommate and himself did this. And when I came home 4 weeks later, Jinxy was ALIVE AND WELL.
Thank you Greg!

I'm really enjoying Fall----

In Utah, and Northern California, it's changing seasons. From summer, to fall. What a great idea!
BRILLIANT!!
growing up in Mesa, AZ I didn't really get to experience this beautiful season.
I go for walks, and just really take all the smells, and beauty, that this season has to offer.
I really like it. I can actually wear a cute sweater, or scarf, and not sweat to death.
It's a beautiful thing.
I'm hungry for some good pumpkin bread, or apple crisps, or anything like that.
Yummy. Got any favorite recipes you want to share with me?
