Merry Christmas 2009

Christmas Eve

Family and Italian food.
A Family Tradition. We missed mom's lasagna, but we know how to improvise, and still be together, and laugh, love, live, and cry a little too. I love my family and miss the ones that couldn't be there.
Good times. Happy times.
Have a good time with your family and friends.
May God bless us all.

Road Trip December 2009

First Stop on our Road Trip---
Our good friends, Debbie and Bill in Page, AZ. Why are we standing around looking at this guitar??? Well, 'cuz our friend use to play in a band, and loves his guitar. Recently they got to see Willie Nelson and he autographed it, and last year, B.B. King signed it! We tease him that someday, they're gonna take us all on a cruise or something, with the help of that guitar.
We always have a nice visit with them. This time they also introduced us to "Wii".
We played a round of golf, went bowling, boxed each other, (I Knock 'em both out), went trap shooting, and ate popcorn. Good Times.

Thought for Today (From Lulu's calender book)

Do you believe in the historical Jesus Christ who lived and taught in the Holy Land, as recorded in the Bible?
Yes, We believe Jesus was born of Mary, preached in the Holy Land during a ministry of about three years, died on the Cross, and was resurrected from the dead, just as prophets had foretold for centuries before His coming.
(see, for example, Genesis49"10; Psalm 2:6-7; 22:16-18; 118:22; Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2).

Miss Katie's Birthday

Katie had a Birthday! Greg's daughter turned 20 years old. So we took her out to dinner.

She picked Japanese food. We went to a restaurant called "Bonsai". It was fun. The chef was entertaining and funny. Katie is such a hard worker, and sweet girl. We love our

"little Miss Katie". (that's what I call her)

I like legos

LEGOS --
Who doesn't like legos??
Who hasn't played with legos?
Legos are made mostly in the USA and Europe. I have bought a lot of legos in my lifetime. My kids grew up with legos.
I've stepped on them, sucked them up in my vacuume, and spent hours building things with my kids.
I like Legos.
(not made in china)

Gifts-----

Romans 12:3-8
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them; if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

In September 2001, Lisa Jefferson had an unexpected opportunity to be used by God. Her now well-known 15-minute conversation with a passenger on United Flight 93 forever changed the direction of her life. In her book 'Called', she emphasizes that her listening skills and her ability to take charge and stay calm in a crisis were used to encourage fellow believer Todd Beamer in the last moments of his life.
She didn't ask to be used that way. But God saw a woman who was available and matched her with someone who was in need. Lisa now
shares her story with whomever she can to encourage believers to always be ready to serve.
Not only has God given us natural abilities, He also equips every believer with SPIRITUAL GIFTS, for the purpose of ministry, God doesn't use the unwilling--He won't force us to serve Him. His part is to equip us (Eph. 4:11-13) and empower and prepare us for service. Our part is to be faithful and available and aware of opportunities to use our "gifts". (Rom. 12:6)
When you feel impelled to help fill a need, when you are inwardly driven to serve---listen to those thoughts. You don't want to miss God's call. -Cindy Hess Kasper-
GOD uses ordinary people to do extraordinary work. Thanks dad.

Senate? Cherilyn Eagar

A MESSAGE FROM JOE THE PLUMBER!

Hey, Sandy, it's Joe the Plumber...

D.C. Stinks! Help Cherilyn Eagar flush (politics as usual) in Washington D.C. Here are the top five reasons to release Utah’s incumbent senator with a vote of thanks:

1.He is addicted to the gateway drug of the Potomac, bankrupting our nation by voting for pork spending earmarks 91% of the time, refusing to support both transparency and an earmark moratorium.
2.He plays the “Let’s Make A Back-Room Deal” game, responsible for brokering the bailout and has recently received payback in campaign funds from the very bank he bailed out.
3.He’s rated the 8th most liberal Republican Senator and was #1 Republican to receive campaign funds from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac.
4.When he defended the bail-out, he rejected the notion of a free market saying, “Reagan is dead. Get over it.”
5.He has told Utah legislators that the U.S. Constitution is an old-fashioned document that no longer applies to us

DON'T UNDER-ESTIMATE ME!
