Sunrise, sunset
I just got home from a wonderful trip to the Grand Canyon. We were all so blessed to be able to make this trip as a family. It truly is one of the 7 Wonders of the World.
Although my youngest Grandchildren may not remember the grandeur of it, I hope a small piece of it will remain somewhere inside of them.
It really is breath taking when you stand quietly on the edge of it and try to 'take it all in'.
It is one of God's most magnificent Creations.
In between taking pictures and worrying and making sure the grand kids didn't fall over the edge, and I do mean EDGE!,
This picture captures a song in my head, as I watch my Mom, children and grand children together and the Grand Canyon as a back drop of life in progress, constantly changing....... (you all know it).
Is this the little girl I carried?
Is this my little boy at play?
I don't remember growing older
When did they?
When did she get to be a beauty?
When did he grow to be so tall?
Wasn't it yesterday
When they were small
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze.
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with HAPPINESS and TEARS.
Life just keeps on going. Nothing stands still. Change is constant.
So we might as well ENJOY THE RIDE!
I can't help but mentioning how much I missed David.
This is his environment. He loves the outdoors and history, and his family.
He would have loved this family trip. and with that said...
I say with Gratitude in my heart, 'Thank you Lord for your Amazing Creations and blessing me with the opportunity to share it with my family.'
To see more pictures go to mine or Brandi's facebook profiles. I having trouble downloading some of my pictures.

Absolutely Beautiful, the picture and the song, yes,we know that song! It brought tears to my eyes as I read the words. I am sooo happy you got to spend a little time with your family in a beautiful spot.
love that song and would love to one day see the grand canyon too
looks like a very nice time and trip.
love that song. love the words and the story.
I was thinking of that song, too.
I could not recall most of the words to the music--so thanks for printing them. I missed David, too.
