June snow trip with mom. ( about 20-30 minutes from my apartment)

Mom and me took a little afternoon drive to check out the skiing conditions.  Just in case she & I want to go skiing this week-end.
The roads were clear all the way up the mountain,  but they were still pushing snow off parts of the parking lot still.  Snowbird got 6" of fresh snow this past week end to add to their 760" this season.
It was a very nice day.  Not cold, and no wind.  They estimate they will be open until July, weather permitting.   Talk about spring skiing.  Or in this case summer skiing.   The lifts are only open on the week-ends,  but the restaurants, and gift shops are open during the week.  This is also the ski resort that Greg worked at for about 17 years, when he first moved to Utah.  He was in his 20's back then.
As you can see,  not really cold.  Just a long sleeve t-shirt, or sweat shirt was sufficient.  The picture doesn't show the depth very well, but if you walk off the road there, it's easily up to your knees.

Now, don't you know when I saw this sign and it said no parking or stopping,  That I just had to 'Stop & Park'.   (I'm such a rebel.)  I did try to walk up closer to the sign, but I quickly found out it was deeper than it looked, and snow fell down into my knee high boots.   hahaha.
Well we ended our nice afternoon with lunch at Applebee's and it was very good.  By the way, they have a new 'Weight Watcher' endorsed menu with meals under 550 calories.  I got one, and it was very good.
