My Son's Voice

David was able to call me.  It is amazing how my whole being changes when my phone rings, I answer it, and that computerized woman says; "hello this a pre-paid called from Florence Central Unit..... from...and then my son's voice says, "David _____"  My heart skips a beat, my blood pressure drops, my eyes light up, my respiration's slow down, the tension in my shoulders relax, a smile comes to my face, and I say, "Hello honey, I've been waiting for you to call, I'm so happy, and he always says in his sweet, reassuring voice,  "I know".  (smile)    For a few minutes I experience relief.   For a few minutes, we are together.  "Joy".  But then, that woman breaks into our conversation and says, "You-have-one-minute-remaining."   'Well ok mom, I love you....... and then that dreaded, "CLICK' .   That is a sound I have come to hate.  So after some tears, I go to my knees and thank God for the telephone and hearing and answering prayers.   God is Good.  We are enduring.

So glad you two are able to talk and share your thoughts of love.
