SUMMERTIME is officially here.

 FIREFLIES are out and about.
Everyone knows how fireflies got their name, but many people don't know how the insects produce their signature glow. Fireflies have dedicated light organs that are located under their abdomens. The insects take in oxygen and, inside special cells, combine it with a substance called luciferin to produce light with almost no heat.
WATERMELON STAND
While driving through the neighborhood some kids had a 'LEMONAIDE AND WATERMELON STAND".   Well, I'm all for supporting small, local business's, so I had to get a slice.
 LITTLE FROGS
After the rain, the kids were outside playing and caught about 7 little frogs.  They made a little 'habitat' for them and then let them go the next day.  They are very cute!
 NEW LIBRARY
"Summertime reading."  I took the girls to check out our new City Library.

Reading in the hollow of tree makes it more fun.

That library looks neat. Reading books during the summer is a good time to learn what you want to learn and just read decent books. Mom
