CALLING FOR ALL YOU STYLISH FASHION SMART PEOPLE.How did Shania Twain get into this dress on without incident?
I don't like turtle necks, I don't like things tight around my neck. (especially hands) BUT, Since It's about 30 degrees outside, I have considered it. I like that skirt and boots look, but maybe to young for me. Anyway, here's my question.
How do you put a turtle neck on (especially a WHiTE one!), without getting make-up on the collar?? I always end up with make-up on it.
Any suggestions?

Stretch the collar over your head real wide, or just put your makeup on after.
I was gonna say exactly what Jen did.
I think a knee or calf length skirt would look cute on you with boots. No shorter though. Just because you don't want to be one of the ladies whos kids have to write into a talk show to get you an age appropriate makeover.
Make up after. It's cold enough in Utah to do that.
Scarf can be nice because you can take it off and not have something around your neck all day.
I don't know about the turtle neck, as a pre-teen and teenager I liked them. But like you I hate things around my neck. (Yes, I would have to agree with you about the hands)
I don't care how cold it is, no turtleneck for me! A Scarf is nice, adds color and you can get it off in a hurry if you start to feel strangled. (Can't do that modestly with a turtleneck) The boots and skirt look would be great for you (follow Krista's advice). I have an older friend and she looks great in boots (hers are flat) and calf length skirt. Try that look, but instead of the beret try a fedora.(you know those gangster hats from the 20's or 30's)
Love your side bar pic entitled "Joy" it reminds me a favorite movie of mine, "Don Juan DeMarco" with Faye Dunnaway, Marlon Brando, and Johnny Depp.
I'm with you on not liking turtle necks. The scarf is a good idea though from Jen.
