My Mother has been on my mind a lot lately. My daily devotional was about mothers and I thought I would share some thoughts with you.A good mother loves her family and provides an atmosphere where each member can find acceptance, security, and understanding. She is there when the children need a listening ear, a comforting word, a warm hug, or a loving touch on a fevered brow. And for the Christian mother, her greatest joy is in teaching her children to trust and to love Jesus as their Savior.
That kind of mother deserves to be honored - not just on one special day a year but every day. And that recognition should involve more than words; it ought to be shown in respect, thoughtfulness, and loving deeds. -Richard De Haan-

Proverbs 31:26-31 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing , but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.

I have such gratitude for my mother.

Thank you, Sandy, for your post. My thanks to my daughters and Grand-daughter for their comments, too. You all are mothers and you know what an honor it is to be a mother. To bear God's children and to care and to love His children is a priviledge and blessings. Each one of you are a blessing to me. I love each daughter, grandchild and their spouses. My loving husband joined
me in striving to be good parents.
