I attended another Tea Party here in Walnut Creek, California. I like hanging out with those

"Members of the MOB"! They're my kind of people.

The news media loves to put their own spin on things and likes to label people. I really don't consider myself conservative, republican, raciest, etc. I consider myself just an

American Patriot with morals and know the difference between right and wrong.

I don't want or need government in my everyday decision making.

I was thinking as I was driving home; WHY do I really care what government is doing?

It's really not going to affect 'me' financially much. I have no home, no mortgage, pretty much lost all my 401K plan, no business, I have a clunker, (but no cash for it). I have good health care at the moment. So what am I fighting for?? I'm fighting for my children and my grandchildren. I'm fighting for what my relatives and family have stood up and fought for our freedom for over 200 years. I want my grandchildren to grow up and have the same Freedoms that I had. I want them to have and make their own choices without constant government interference. I want them to know that I cared.
I WANT LESS GOVERNMENT.
LESS...
I WANT THE RIGHT TO MAKE MY OWN CHOICES WITHOUT CONSULTING THE GOVERNMENT.

I'm fighting for What is Right, and honest, and fair. I'm fighting for America to Remember that we are land of the FREE,
One Nation, Under God. Remember GOD? In God we Trust. (not government and politicians.)
I have more to say, but I need to go take care of 'things'.

HAVE A HAPPY DAY!!

I don't have kids... the rest of what you discuss fits me as well. Apartment dweller, hourly worker, paid off car I'd love to trade up, trying to set a little aside..

Even if I never have kids, I have nieces and nephews, my friends have kids... and heck, I've even got some good years left and I'd like to live them out in a free society!!

I believe we're on the right side of history, those of us who want freedoms over entitlements.

Great post. All of us need to do what we can to protect this country from leaving the values and principles it was founded upon.

I wish I could have gone with you to the tea party. McCain is holding a townhall session in Mesa, Az tonight. I'll check the papers and TV tomorrow to see their reports --if they have any.
They like to ignore our tea parties. .
