China (out of the box)

This is for mom.
I did keep 6 place setting of Grandma's.
This pattern I think is Grandma Criswell's.
On the back it says "Joy".
This is not the 'Wheat' pattern
I also kept some serving dishes but they are still packed.
Anyway, we enjoyed using them for our special dinner and the table turned out very nice.
Thanks mom.

I have been carry this boxed up china around with me since 1984-1986??  Anyway a long time, and have never used it.  Now after giving everything away before leaving SLC . I did pack these and now they are the only dishes I have  to eat off of
When I was 16 I had an idea in my head what my life was going to be like.
I just have to laugh out loud, because this "Real Life" of mine does not even come close..Posted by Picasa

Mom will be happy to see such a beautiful place setting. Maybe grandma cris was smiling seeing it as well.

I am so happy that you save some of Grandma Cris's china. It looks beautiful to me. It brings memories of sitting around my parents table for special events. They gave Dad and I our first china set. I set it on my table Christmas Day, so Curtiss and family, Pat & Merrilee and Val and I could set around the table.Curtiss brought Prime Rib, Jen made a delicious salad, Merrilee made stuffed potatoes and Val made the Lax Orange/Onion plate. Pat bought a pumpkin pie and Curtiss baked an apple pie from scratch. His pie was delicious.
