Summer activities

Fun Day out at University Lake.  We rented a canoe and row boat for the afternoon.  Matt came out and met us for a few hours and then we went and got some lunch together.
Here in the South, they still make "Fried Bologna" sandwiches.  We grew up eating these kind of sandwiches.
The lake was calm and the cloud cover made for a nice day.  The girls got to fish a little and learn how to row a boat and paddle a canoe,  but Grandma (me) and Brandi got most the exercise.
It's all fun and games, until it turns into work.
A refreshing 'Luna Pop' which they make right here locally out of all fresh ingredients.  The girls picked out Oreo cookie.  It has a whole oreo cookie in the center, cream filled and all.
Had a fun day.

That looks like a fun day. Every time I mention going to Tempe lake and renting a paddle boat or something Dan acts like he can't hear me.

Probably all those years in scouts. :)

Rowing a boat on a lake or a river is fun hard work! A lake is much easier. What a great experience!

Those "luna pops" look real good right now!

Yep, summertime is grrrreat!
