I chose this devotional today because
It is a challenge for me to stand still.
To slow down my mind and ponder and meditate on
what direction the Lord wants me to go.
No wait, that's not what I mean. I know what direction to go,
but I'm not always sure how to get there, or I don't 'stand still'
long enough to be guided by the spirit.
So, this week I'm going to try to slow my racing thoughts down.
I'm going to slow my prayers down.
I'm going to try to sit still, quietly... alone. (Very hard for me to do.)
I took the photo above last October on my journey through the beautiful Smoky Mountains.

I like this. I can relate. I need to stand still more often too. Sometimes it drives me crazy knowing what I want. Knowing it is good. And not figuring out quite how to get there. But you are right, quieting the mind so the revelation can come. Very wise. Thanks for the reminder.
pretty picture....and great words.
a good reminder for all of us.
I just got your text and tried to reply but i don't think my text got to you. Romney did well and I hope he will do even better during the next two debates. Pray for him.
the fall picture is beautiful I wish I could walk through fall woods and smell the woods. There is no fall here in the Valley yet.
