Wow! She arrived at my apartment Wednesday morning with car full of decorating ideas, and things she had in her basement that she no longer uses.
She buzzed around my living room, and turned "plain and ugly" into "comfortable and beautiful".
I LOVE IT. It's amazing how much this small act of kindness and love has helped change my mood and energy.
She brought a black & white painting that is a Shauna original and a funny little wooden man (on the lamp stand.) These two things have turned out to be my favorite pieces! As I sit on my couch now and relax I really appreciate all the small touches and details that Sheila did. She really has a great talent for interior decorating.
I can't thank Sheila enough for doing this for me.
You never know how much small acts of kindness may mean to someone. This has really meant a lot to me.

I was thinking yesterday, on those shedding black tasseled pillows...just cut off the tassels. I think we should sand and paint that dresser and maybe the wall unit black----that would be slick.
So, glad I could do something. That's the hardest part, figuring out what to do...Have you noticed how some people just know how to do and say the right thing? I've decided I'd make a horrible counselor....I never know what to say.

Hey! Nice work ladies! Sandy I am very much like you in that most of my home is items given to me, street finds or from the random free boxes, however I love that about my house. No doubt I understand the need for something new and nice (note just bought a ridiculous 200 comforter and sheets from Calvin Klein that I totally love) but there's something to be said about a home that simply came to be, versus planned. Your home looks great to me! Shelia, always has done great work in the area of decor!! Good job again Aunties!
