October update in Carolina

Well,  "Me and Mr. Bones.... we got a thing,   going on."
Time for another cervical epidural, but I opted for some intramuscular steroid injections and an anti-inflammatory mixture directly into  some trigger points for pain control. It seems to have helped a little. I really don't want another disc removed and fusion.
It's hell getting old!
Here's one of my little ghouls.  She went out for treats and came home with body parts in her bag.  Hee-hee.  That's a chocolate ear, a bubble  eye, and fangs.  The kids had fun.
So, I take the girls out to pick out a pumpkin and told them you can have which ever one you want, as long as YOU can carry it by yourself.
Well they did.
Last Saturday, was a beautiful day so we loaded the motorcycles up and with 2 other families with motorbikes, we  went out for a great day of riding.
Check out the bike Anna is on.  It has training wheels.  We start them out young here.  Lexi is on her 90cc, and I'm on Sara's New 125.  I'm the oldest rider, and I think the youngest is 6 yrs old.
Got some one- on-one time with Brandi.  She's so busy with School and clinicals it's hard to sneak a way, just the 2 of us.  We had a nice day.  She took me out to lunch at 'Southern Seasons and we ordered 'fried green tomatoes'.  They were good. Actually,  Everything was good!
Brandi and I played some golf.  We actually did good, for not golfing all summer.  Had fun.
This is my main job,  keeping up with my grand-daughters.
I am truly blessed to be able to be 'Granny-nanny'.  Let's see, soccer 3 times a week, gymnastics, activity girls night, daily homework, fish, explore, make lunches, get dinner on the table, play dates with friends, and anything else that needs to be done.
I'm a lucky Grandma.
I also get to go on all the girls school field trips as a chaperon.
I really love these.  I learn as much, or more than the kids about science and North Carolina and get to take a lot of pictures (which I love to do) for the end of the year, slide shows that they show the parents.
Lexi has been going to 'Chapel Hill Social'.  This is where boys and girls, between the ages of 10-12 go and learn proper etiquette.  Like greeting others, shaking hands, introducing yourself to others, the boys pull the chairs out for the young ladies  to sit down. They learn about proper place settings for the table. The girls wear dresses, and they learn to dance with the boys, like the foxtrot, waltz, etc.  This kind of stuff is normally not Lexi's style.  (She would rather be catching fish, riding her dirt bike, building  forts, or digging for worms.)
But since  some of her girlfriends are going too, she is actually enjoying it.)
Matt and Brandi were asked to be chaperons for the Halloween social so they went as 'Cindy Lou Who, and THE GRINCH.  (perfect)

Wow, Sandy---what an amazing and really pretty exciting schedule!
I am happy for you, for the girls and for all there.
You are most certainly making a positive difference in their lives!

Now, your back pain has got to get better---it's VERY difficult to function with that kind of pain!

WoW indeed! you are a very busy woman! I'm tired just reading about all that you do.

May you continue to be able to endure your neck and back pain, until the time comes when all pain will be gone.
