Artist Emotions

This is a painting by a new artist I just discovered. His attention to details is amazing. I will probably post more of his beautiful work. This piece of work is titled- " Sad mom" Iman Maleki is the artist.

BUGGIN' me

BUGGIN' ME--
#1 People that drive 4-wheel drive Escalades, or 4-wheel drive Lexus, that don't have a scratch on them! If you want a 4-wheel drive, use it! If you want a luxury car get it. But I have never seen a Cadillac escalade out in the desert 4-wheeling. And if they came with me- they would be eating my dust, getting all dirty and scratches galore, behind my 4 by 4 l985 FORD BRONCO! Catch me if you can-
"SUCKER"-----
#2. JUDGEMENTAL PEOPLE.
#3 Women and Girls who "hover" over public toilets and don't clean up after themselves. Come on- Wipe up your own drippings off the toilet- (ladies?)
#4. People that dump their trash on the side of the road.
#5. Dogs that YAP-YAP-YAP-YAP-YAP, at nothing! Put a muzzle on it.
#6. Utah liquor laws! (the details of this one, is ridiculous, I could give you the details, but not now.)
#7. When my pets get pet hair all over my black clothes.
#8. People who are in a big hurry to get to the red light in front of me. Stupid.
#9. Restaurants that don't include a potato and salad with an expensive cut of meat. C'mon--how much does some lettuce and a potato cost??
#10. People that USE people.
So there you have it- things that bug me! I'm sure I bug others myself.
"Don't bug me, Bug."
HAVE A HAPPY DAY!!!

It's In God's Word Psalm 119:25-32

As optimistic as I am (I can find a bright side to just about everything), I also know that life can be a dark and lonely place. I've talked to teenagers who have a parent whose anger makes just going home after school a dreaded trip. I've known people who can't escape the curtain of depression. I've spent considerable time with others who, like my wife and me, are enduring life with the sudden death of a child. I've seen what relentless poverty can do to people all over the world. Despite knowing that these scenarios exist, I don't despair. I know that hope is available in Jesus, that guidance comes through the spirit, and that knowledge and power are found in God's Word. The words of Psalm 119 give us encouragement. When our soul "clings to the dust," we can be revived according to God's Word (v.25). When our soul is full of sorrow, we can be strengthened by his word (vv.29-30). Our heart can be set free by God's commands (v.32). Are life's demands overwhelming you? If so, you can find HOPE, GUIDANCE, AND KNOWLEDGE TO HELP. It's in God's Word. -Dave Branon-

If your soul is parched and thirsty

And you feel weighed down by care,

Go to God's Word for refreshment-

You'll find strength and comfort there. -Sper-

FOR MY SIS- the architect

This is for my sister.
The Architect.
I thought maybe her first project could be to design my "Redneck Mansion".
Is'nt this great! It's 4 stories high. It has a beautiful yard, out in the country with a fish pond, lounge chairs, sundeck, and green house. There is the Main House. Guest bungalow, game room, kids playroom, private balconies,
with BBQ's, and a windmill. Perfect for me. My dream Home.
Well Sis---What d' ya think??? When can we get started?

WE'VE GOT BALLS!!

Yep- WE'VE GOT BALLS! New balls, blue balls, BOWLING BALLS!
So we picked up our bowling balls, and played a few games. Greg got over 150. His ball is a 14 lbs, resin, reactive ball. I really don't know what the means, but it's working for him. He got the holes drilled for "fingertip" hold. My ball is a simple, beginner plastic ball. 12 lbs, and my holes are drilled deeper so I can hang onto it better. I'm just trying to roll it down the lane and hit some pins, and stay out 0f the gutter. 12 pounds, is a little heavy for me right now, 10lbs, is easier on me . I'll work my up though. I'll get it. Greg is such a patient coach to me. He has a way of "telling me what to do ", without pissing me off. (You all know, I don't like people "telling ME, what to do!) We are having great fun together, and getting out to go do something, that's not too expensive, out of the cold, and staying active.
It's pretty funny that I'm playing GOLF AND BOWLING! The 2 sports that I made fun of.
SPORTS FOR NERDS AND SISSY'S!! Look what I've become!

A day in History January 20, 2009

Job well done! Thank you!
President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, thank you for your faithful service. May God continue to bless your family.
After President Bush landed in Texas, He said;
"Tonight I have the privilege of saying six words that I have been waiting to say for a while - It is good to be home."

January 20, 2009
The United States of America has a new President. Did I vote for him? NO. Do I support him? On most things, yes. Why didn't I vote him? The MAIN reason? I am anti-abortion, I AM ANTI-ABORTION, I AM ANTI-ABORTION!!
No exceptions. With that said, I think his intentions are good. I don't think he's the "devil in disguise", or has evil intentions. I think he loves his family and wants good things for all of us.
GOD IS REALLY THE ONE IN CONTROL.
Do you really believe that? I do. My life would be very different if I were in control. We really have absolutely no control over anything. My life would really be messed up. I've tried to be in control of my life. Boy, did I mess that up!
So, "In God we trust".
Love and Prayers, to President Obama

MY HEAD'S IN THE SHOP, THIS IS JUST A LOANER.

SANDY"S SUNDAY SPORTS UPDATE

Nice View, huh?

I thought if I shrunk the picture, my backside would shrink.

Yea right.

Well, here's the update.

Friday Greg and I got our fingers and hand measured for our new bowling balls.

We played a couple games. Saturday, we bowled a few games. My highest score was 103. Greg's highest score that day was 153. We had Fun. (and yes my back hurts, but it always hurts.)

MOTOCROSS- James Stewart on his new Yamaha won.

FOOTBALL- As you probably heard, ARIZONA CARDINALS are going to the SUPERBOWL! We gotta root for the CARDINALS. Love the underdog. Pittsburgh STEELERS--Whatever.

Friday, January 16, 2009

President Bush's Farewell speech last night was right on. President Bush's leadership, has been for the good of the people, even those who persecute him. Thank you for your service President Bush. Thank you to The First Lady, Laura Bush also.
Last night my ears perked up when the President introduced Julio Medina, from Exodus Transition Community. A faith based outreach program.
This is a person of interest to me.

Weekend- What's your plan?

YEA, It's Friday. AMA SUPERCROSS started. No NASCAR, until next month.

We like JAMES 'BUBBA' STEWART. He use to always ride a Kawasaki, but this year he went with Yamaha. I grew up riding Yamaha's. So keep your eye on this guy. He's the guy ahead of the pack!

Football's on. Not so interested now.

Golf- can't golf now here, but the pro's are in Hawaii.

Bowling- I'll probably be bowling. Greg just got new shoes, and ordered a new ball, and my ball is getting custom fit for my hand and fingers.

HAVE FUN! LAUGH OUT LOUD!

Slumdog Millionaire - Sandy's review

Yesterday I went and saw "SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE". In a sentence, I Liked it.

I think what you take away from it, will vary from each individual. From a DISTANCE that "housing" development down there doesn't look so bad. But come closer, look closer, smell it, stay the night there, share a meal there with a family. Does it still look the same? It stirred up a lot of my feelings about humanity.

A few things that stood out to me.---THE EYES So many different eyes. Dark black eyes, eyes of a mother, eyes of poverty peeking through shacks, called a shelter, eyes of evil men, eyes of blind children, eyes of survivors, eyes of lovers, and friends. Eyes of hope and promise. The other thing that stuck out, (even before the end of the movie) was the "color yellow". What a creative person that put that in the movie. For me, it accomplished what I think he was trying to convey to the audience without words.

Don't we all want the same thing in this world? LOVE

From a distance, this young child's life doesn't look so bad.
But as the camera pulls away, you see a much bigger picture of his life.
We all have very limited vision. We see what we want or are able to see. Some are not ready to look yet.
If you go to the movies to "escape" from life, for an hour a two, this is not the movie for you. If you want to challenge your outlook on life and the life's of others that we share this earth with then go and see some reality and don't close your eyes. Take it in.

Look & feel something

I like this. I like the colors, reflections, & subject matter. It makes me "feel good" inside. I think maybe because it reminds me of my parents. The bike reminds me of my little sis, which makes me think of all three of my sisters. What do you think of when you look at it?

Make-up & Fashion

CALLING FOR ALL YOU STYLISH FASHION SMART PEOPLE.

How did Shania Twain get into this dress on without incident?I don't like turtle necks, I don't like things tight around my neck. (especially hands) BUT, Since It's about 30 degrees outside, I have considered it. I like that skirt and boots look, but maybe to young for me. Anyway, here's my question.

How do you put a turtle neck on (especially a WHiTE one!), without getting make-up on the collar?? I always end up with make-up on it.

Any suggestions?

Snow and Bargains

It's Cold and Snowing! Terrible to drive in, but beautiful to watch from my warm, cozy, downtown apartment. My new favorite place to shop for clothes is --

Desert Industries. I'm not kidding. I don't really have winter clothes, so I went there to find some. I got 3 really nice sweaters, a skirt, and some good boots, and OP sunglasses, all for $20.00!! The sweaters are high quality from department stores. Better than Wal-mart. That was my excitement for the day!

Sunday Devotional Jan. 4th, 2009

Luke 10:38-42
Now it happened as they went that he entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approach Him and said, "Lord, d0 you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me." And Jesus answered and said to her,"Martha, Martha, you are worried and trouble about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."
Remember Jesus' friends, Martha and Mary? Although Martha had the opportunity to enjoy having Jesus as her guest, she soon became frustrated with her sister Mary and overwhelmed with the busyness of her preparations. Certainly understandable to a lot of us! Jesus made it clear to her, however, that sometimes it's necessary to step away from the unending pressures of life and spend undistracted time with him. God has given us the opportunity to have personal moments with him. By taking the time just to be with the Lord, we are fed, refreshed, and renewed. Jesus commended Mary for taking time to sit and learn at her Savior's feet (Luke 10:42). As it turned out- she had the best seat in the house! -Cindy Hess Kasper_
Take time to be holy,
The world rushes on;
Spend much time in secret
With Jesus alone. -Longstaff-
