Historic Senate Hearing re; Solitary Confinement

Senator Durbin from Illinois, and Cecil Ash, from Mesa Arizona are politicians that I have personally wrote letters to, along with other moms from M.I.S.S.    There are a few good politicians out there who are willing to listen, and take on this very unpopular subject, for Prison Reform, especially during an 'election' year.  In the 1980's, the 'Get tough on Crime' revolution sounded like a good idea.  But, it has now spun way out of control and is creating more damage and problems.  Long sentences, overcrowding, private prisons making money for profit, the more beds the Judges fill up, the more money they all make.  What happened to Rehabilitation in our prison systems?  There are many, many, men in women locked up, that could be normal productive people in our society given a chance.  America incarcerates more people than anywhere in the world.  Something is very, very wrong.
